Default tires

Ihave owned the Deuler Revos and they were excellent for my TUndra, perhaps a bit overkill on the Pilot though.

I do no off-roading, and driving is 60% city 40% highway. I have done lots of research on tirerack and I have narrowed by choices down to the following tires...based on price, performance, and other stuff:

Firestone Destination A/T $102
Firestone Destination L/E $98
Bridgestone Deuler RVT $???
Goodyear Fortera's $123

I live in Pittsburgh so I contend with snow and ice pretty regularly. I am leaning towards the A/T's but wondered if anyone ever tried the LE's, supposed to be quieter and get more mileage.

Thanks for feedback.....

I looked at the Firestone Le's and the very similar tread style Bridgestone Alenza, and opted for the Alenza after seeing the difference in miles the tires could do before wearing out. Tirerack had several reports for the LE wearing out at 40k. Alenza last twice as long for 30% more upfront cost. That seemed like a good deal to me

The Destinations LE's were on my short list also but when I considered my fmaily and the trips we take and as Rocky said the longer mileage and all, I went with the Bridgestone Alenza's for $131 each. Very quiet and smooth. Wife loves them also.

The Destination A/T are all Terrain tires and will probably (I don't know for sure) be noisier due to the more agressive tire design.

I think the Revos are all terrain also IIRC. (Gotta go that the meds again).

The Goodyear Fortera's are a higher quality (and price) tire like the Alenza's.

Don't know what the RVTs are but it sounds like you want an all terrain tire. For the Pilot, it is not an all terrain vehicle.

Default Hate to be a party-pooper ...
