The amazing thing about the Asstek is that it's forever cringeworthy. I've seen it enough times that I should be desensitized by now. But it is so, so wrong that it manages to evoke the "ack!" and then . time after time.

I KNOW!!!LOL!
My 8 year old even was disgusted by it "It's too tall and skinny."
Rosie O'donnell drives one...did anyone catch her on Leno talking about all the crap she's taken from owning that thing?, it was hilarious!

Thank goodness for the nice peaceful misty scenery behind that photo, needed something pretty to distract me.

Splash by Rinspeed Design at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show

This year's best technical model is the Splash by Rinspeed Design, a 137-hp turbocharged, natural-gas powered sports car with top speeds of about 125 mph on land, but which also turns into a watertight stern-drive amphibious vehicle thanks to cleverly integrated hydraulics that works at the touch of a button. An integrated hydrofoil system enables the Splash to 'fly' at about two feet above the surface and up to speeds of 50 mph (about 45 knots) on smooth water. That's fast enough for water skiing or any other water sports.

Splash is fabricated of multi-layered carbon fiber composite materials (a state-of-the-art strong-as-steel plastic mainly used in Formula One racing and advanced aircraft). It has buoyancy chambers inside for additional lift on the water and a bilge pump, just in case water gets in the boat/ car... It's only a concept car, the Splash is suppose to be the first and only sports car that can drive on land, cruise or fly over water.
