Default Is the Man of the House at Home? (Clinton Joke)

An old man walking along Pennsylvania Av stopped in front of the White House and asked the guard if he could meet with President Clinton.

The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Clinton is no longer president and no longer resides here." The old man said, "Okay." and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Clinton."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, Mr. Clinton is no longer president and no longer resides here." The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Clinton"

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Clinton. I've told you already that Mr. Clinton is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"

The old man looked at the Marine, smiled, and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

Smiling back, the Marine snapped to attention, saluted and said, "See you tomorrow, Sir!"

With a one-word substitution, the same joke might find new life in a couple years.......

Unhappy

I'm sure the 2 million people who are unemployed since he became unemployed really appreciate the humor.

Default uh oh

don't get this former econ prof going on that one.

I'll just say... every president has strengths and weakneses, and has good and bad things happen during their tenure, only some of which are under their control. And, macroeconomic trends are lagged.

Don't want to get into a partisan p*ssing contest here - there are plenty of other boards on which to do that.

(If you're one of those you reference, good luck in the search. Most leading indicators ARE up.)

Unhappy no offense!!!

Sorry if some of you didn't find humor in it. Please feel free to substitute Clinton with your personal "favorite".

Just FYI, I dislike almost all politicians/politics and only posted the joke as it was emailed to me...

Samuel2003: I thought it was funny... (but then, I have a warped sense of humor, as most on honda-pilot.org already know! )

The terrorist activities couldn't have impacted business at all.

Who was in office for the past 8 years that helped the world get screwed up to the point AND weakend our military and intelligence as well. That also led business corruption by experience. Tought people around the globe that we didn't know the definition of "IS".

on and on and on......

real funny jokes.....I do not want to get into partisan politics here....but the jokes are funny..including Kemos pictures...

as for the unemployment and the economy I think there is enough blame to go about to the presidents, congress, wall street, greedy CEOs , etc etc.....

Default Jesus Christ People.... it's a joke!!!

Those of you who were offended by "Samuel2003's" joke - lighten up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For christ's sake - it's a joke!!!

That's the problem with much of this country, too many people have their asses so tightened up they've forgotten how to laugh at something. These same people are more comfortable being "offended" and spend too much time being "offended" that they are freakin' ruining it for the rest of us who aren't afraid to laugh at something that is a "joke."

Jesus, some of you tight-asses just aren't any fun!

Kudos to Kemosabe: both posted pictures were funny!!!

Just for the record, I DID think the joke was funny, and there was no offense taken here! I was, however, alluding to the fact that you could indeed substitute another name--Bush or whoever--and the same joke could be perennially funny.....

A good joke can be appreciated as a good joke, no matter what your political leaning.
