Looks pretty nice! Its really not that much smaller than some of the older Toyota highlanders that have 3 row seating. Probably 6 or 7 passenger configuration.

Bigger power plant maybe coupled to a 6 speed auto?. Keep the Fuel Economy .

I don't think 2010 crv will pack with the 3rd row seat. else it will hurt pilot sales.

I'll tell you right now with 100% certainty that there is no 3rd row...I may or may not have inside information

Most people shopping for a Pilot size vehicle are not cross shopping a CRV. However, some people shopping for a CRV may not buy one in favor of a competitors similar size vehicle that does have a third row available.

Very nice. Hopefully they spend a lot of time refining the engine on the new model, or at least add some additional sound deadening. When we were shopping for my wife's new car, we took a good long look at the CR-V. It drove well, but what struck me more than anything else was how noisy the engine and road noise was. If you think the current Pilot is bad for road noise, the CR-V is much worse.

With that said, in 2013 when the lease is up on this Pilot, I'll be downsizing to something CR-V sized. I'll be interested to see the updates to the CR-V, particularly in terms of power and refinement.

I haven't been a fan of the CR-V's look since they canned the 06 look.

Not enough sport utility, too much enlarged car.

Something about that backend on the alleged 2012 bothers me as well

Interestingly enough, I remember that the first gen CR-V had a third row seating option in the Philippine market, there was a board back in the day that sourced them and did a group buy on them. As a former owner of an 01 CR-V, I have no idea how there was enough room for that

I remember looking in the back of mine, and thinking amputees or tiny children MAYBE....anything with legs would have a really tough time.

I think I've said here that it took me some adjustment time to move from my longtime Pilot to a CR-V. Now that I've had it for nine months, I've grown fond of it. It is more nimble than the Pilot, somewhat better gas mileage, comfortably equipped, and certainly a lot quieter and less road noise than my '03 Pilot (that was about my only Pilot complaint from the very first). I did miss the Pilot in the snows of this past winter. I got stuck on a city street with the 2WD CR-V, and in the seven winters I had the Pilot, I had never gotten stuck.
