Default Honda CrossTour coming in October

A Honda CrossTour was spotted in the Louisville KY area in the company of a Toyota Venza.

No pics though, Keep and eye out!

26 Oct 2009 is the release date. NO 4cyl or manual trans. V6 with VCM 2WD or 4WD, 3,500lb towing. 2.5 inches taller than current Accord and 7 inches LONGER than the Venza. Accord platform for sure. They are saying it will have "power fold down seats" on the upper models. I'm not sure of the lower models. It will also have a dealer installed plastic floor cover that will allow it to be like a truck bed. I don't know how much wider it will be than the Accord. There will be a Base 2wd, 4x4, a mid and top with Navi. Not sure if there will be RES or not. 18 inch wheels on top models along with possible power hatch. 260 plus HP.

Honda is clearly trying to create a new model out of the Accord with the Crosstour, even though this vehicle could be called Accord in other markets.

Thanks to Bigdadi for reminding people about the Accord Tourer. It sure would be nice to see that stretched version added to the Accord range. The Euro/ROW version was criticised for being smaller than the last generation.

The last vehicles by Balisky appear to be the new Acura ZDX. I much prefer the look of the CrossTour with the more upright hatch. I am really looking forwar to the CrossTour. The more wagon options the better in my opinion.

Now we just need a "Woody" version. Can you say Station Wagon?
