Default 2010 Honda Passport or Crosstour???

Food for thought on the MY 2010 front from Honda the rumored arrival of the Passport.
See about the Passport here:
http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...a-passport.htm
edit add TOV link:
http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=828861

TOV and others are calling this the Honda Crosstour with the Acura model as the ZDX. ( Consumerguideauto calls the Acura the CDX.

AWD or FWD crossover wagon...similiat to the Toyota Versa

I am amazed at how much misinformation there is out there.

There is NO PASSPORT coming.

There is a Honda Crossroad coming out. Either November 09 or April 10. Recent mule pictures here had it wearing a stretched accord eurowagen body. The most recent info suggests it will be a Venza/Edge sized product

Go look at the temple of Vtec for more information

wow consumer guide is sooooo wrong. i have not heard the passport name in the rumor mill until now.

the new crossover/venza fighter is gonna be called crosstour. as far as i know, there is no acura version. they just got the ZDX which is rumored to share a platform with the crosstour.

I don't know one way or the other. But wasn't the Honda Passport just a re-badged Isuzu Rodeo? I never paid it much attention but, as a casual observer, it always seemed to me a failed endeavor in almost every way. I doubt they would want to resurrect that name.

Correct. The Passport was a rebadged Rodeo - a stopgap move by Honda when they were caught flat-footed when the SUV craze really took off and they were four years from having their own design ready.

The old Passport actually has a good reputation as a rugged and reliable vehicle, even if it is not up to par on performance and comfort. And its a strong brand name that Honda has paid for already. I wouldn't be surprised if they use it again.

The old Insight didn't have a stellar reputation either, but they're using it again for their new small Hybrid.

Personally, I like the sound of Passport a hell of a lot better than Crosstour.

Honda also sold a rebadged Isuzu Trooper under the Acura lineup called the SLX...

The problem with trying to be a smart-ass, is you often prove you are a dumb-ass.

Point, Set, Match!

Oh, you said "Play Nice", not "Nice Play".
(In my best Emily Litella voice) "Never Mind"

No, it's not point, set, match......because a tennis match is over at some point. And no, I didn't catch it before now.

The proper thing to do would be to alert a moderator and thus end up taking the high road, leaving someone with only 25 posts under scrutiny by myself and/or colorider. In this case, though, it looks like you were bombing someone for a spelling error to begin this battle.

Case closed, we all move on. Vigilante justice on a forum just doesn't work, because nobody ends up dead........
