Default CR-V question

Yesterday, my son started up his 2000 CRV. He shifted into reverse and started backing out of the driveway. Then when he tried to put it in either neutral or park - the transmission made a loud grinding sound. If it stayed in reverse - no noise. He turned the engine off and restarted it and it ran and shifted fine. Drove it the rest of the day with no problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Hmmm, you might try visiting the CR-V section of this forum.

Good luck!

I've personally found the CR-V Owners Club to be the better CR-V forum (my wife drives a CR-V):

http://www.crvownersclub.com/

Good luck!
Larry.

Thanks - I'll give them a shot

Problem hasn't resurfaced - I've never seen anything like it in any car I've owned.
