Default Can you ID a digital AM/FM shaft radio?

Hey Gang,
I am looking for a am/fm digital shaft radio for my old 85 CJ jeep. I have located AM/FM Analog Shaft Radio but it is a analog version. Would anybody have a lead on a shaft digital radio like this? Crutchfield does not list one anymore. Thanks for your help.

I can't imagine there's a worthwhile market for digital shaft radios. It's been well over a decade or more since cars came with shaft radios. Pickings must be pretty slim for even analog shaft radios.

You may find yourself having to dremel out the opening, which might be less than ideal.

Have you tried searching on ebay, there are many out there in ebay motors for Jeeps and others plus din mounts for newer styles.

Actually there's a big market out there for classic car restoration. Custom Autosound has been around for a while supporting this market. They even have iPod and USB adapters for their digital shaft radios! Check them out at:

CarolinaPilot.....I didn't see a listing for an '85 Jeep but they might be able to match something up from their inventory that will fit. I would give them a call and see.

It's a CJ!

A dremel is too fancy, just go after the dash with a hacksaw and tin snips!

Better yet, hang it underneath with some plumbers strapping and self tapping screws!

Smile

No hack on this CJ, it is a finely restored CJ8.

Come on, get a CJ6 if you want a long bed.

The radio in a real jeep should be at some risk of flying out!

You would think it was a C101 to be pampered that way.
