I always liked the look of the Accord Wagon, I alway wondered why they got rid of it in the US. I'm glad they are bringing it back. That could get me away from the CR-V. Thanks for posting rocky!

Very smart. I've always lamented that neither the Accord Wagon or TSX Wagon was available in the US. Now, put their diesel in this thing and they'd have a proper competitor with the Jetta TDI wagon that would also give the much-more expensive Mercedes diesel crossovers a run for their money. The TDI is very high on my list right now - the first tests are getting well over 40 mph in mixed driving.

The Accord styling, which is nice but bulky in a sedan, looks very nice in a wagon.

Other than avoiding the "kiss of death" label of station wagon, I have no idea how you call this a crossover utility vehicle. If this thing is a crossover, you might as well call the BMW 328i wagon a crossover too. Hard for me to believe that the US's aversion to wagons is just in name. There's a little Dodge Magnum in this design and this thing went nowhere.

Don't you know Americans don't buy wagons.

Finally a replacement for our 1995 Accord Wagon! That's how long it's been since it was discontinued in Canada.

Mark:

If I had to replace the Pilot, I would be sorely tempted by the TDi SW with DSG.

Here's hoping that in three years Honda has a tdi wagon out. Thats when the Pilot becomes wheels for my oldest.

Wife had an Accord Wagon, was a nice commuter. The photos and story link were of interest to her. She liked the looks. When the ODY goes...who knows?

Agree!!! Looks very similar. I like it as well. I'm planning to replace my CR-V either next year or '10, so maybe this will be the way to go (unless I return to a Pilot).

I think having gone from station wagons to minivans to SUVs, the US is ready for the relatively fuel efficient station wagon again.
