I like it!!!!!!

Looked at the '04 TL b4 buying my Pilot. I was confused when I was car shopping back in summer of 2004....

Looked at Nissan Xterra, Mazda Tribute and 6, Nissan Altima, and of course, the Pilot. Been very happy with my choice.

And I drove the Acura TL and the smaller one, I forgot the name of it...

But, the new TL is sharp!

overall, i like the redesign. the burnt orange leather is a nice touch. the interior looks spacious and ergonomic, and the exterior is clean. however, i'm not sure if i like the front end. lately, honda/acura grilles have been controversial.

The rear end is hideous! My wife says it looks like a Cadillac or a Buick.

I had a negative initial reaction to the newest generation of Accord but the design has since grown on me.

I'm having the same bad initial reaction to the new TL (in part because I liked old TL a lot). But maybe time will soften that, who knows. Honda's products tend to win me over, given time.

I wonder if Honda will donate a few to the IIHS. I'm curious how bad a rating they are going to give those bumpers. BUT more importantly, I bet it will do well in all their intense crash tests.
