There is alot of talk elsewhere including temple of Vtec and Edmunds about Honda introducing the Latitude into the North American Market.
Its a vehicle about the size of a small minivan, eg Mazda 5. If it does come, it would slot in above the Fit and below the Ody. It is smaller the Pilot, both in terms of length and width, so wouldn't obviously compete with the 2wd Pilot. While the talk is positive about it coming over, the unknowns include a whether it will be limited to a 5 seater or a 5plus 2. It has a 2.0 with CVT auto in Japan which is probably fine given its weight which is only 100lbs heavier than the NA Civic. Heres a site from Honda with specs etc. Its all in Metric which will please our cousins to the North. http://www.honda.com.my/models/stream.cfm And lots of pictures firstly exterior http://paultan.org/archives/2006/06/...stream-photos/ And interior http://paultan.org/archives/2006/07/...terior-photos/ Enjoy |

I wonder if this would be a decent competitor to the Toyota Venza?
http://www.toyota.com/upcoming-vehicles/index.html With smaller cars becoming more popular, it seems like a good time to introduce a vehicle like the Stream/Latitude.

It is basically a tall sitting Camry waggon. The one they showed was loaded. My guess is the Honda will be less expensive, and more functional.

The Toy is a 3.5 liter V6 based on the Camry, the Latitude has a 2.0 4cylinder. Think a tall civic wagon with its own style. The nearest equivalent Toyota is the Matrix which is sold as the Corolla Verso in Europe in gas and diesel versions, with 7 seats. |

Looks like a Civic wagon with the CRV backside a bit.
Now that gas prices are high, maybe Honda will bring back the Accord wagon in another name. Or this is it.
