Default Dodge Journey

Anyone know the dimensions for the new Dodge Journey? I can find information about the three engines offered but nothing specific about the height, width and length.

Might have better luck in a MOPAR/Chrysler forum. And you can discuss the popularity of the K-car too!

I sat in a Journey at the auto show here in Detroit. Less than impressed with the interior room. I thought the 3rd row room in the Pilot I had was bad. This was even worse. Looks nice on the outside though. Also thought the dash was a bit cheap looking.

Seems to be what a lot of auto journalists are saying about the new Chrysler products.

I went to see it with the thought of buying one when the lease on my van is up. Nope..not gonna happen. The size and the dash, particularly the instrument cluster. May be hard to see in the picture, but it's not just cheap looking, it's CHEAP looking. Looks like something out of a late 80's Dodge.

I don't believe final specs have been released yet, however Car and Driver has a nice "First Drive" piece on their site. It does not list specific dimensions, but it does comment on the overall size and interior capacity of the new Journey:

http://www.caranddriver.com/previews...e-journey.html

From what I've seen and read, it sounds like the Journey is smaller than the Pilot. It is based on a stretched Dodge Avenger platform, so perhaps it is similar in size to a RAV4?

Funny you mentioned that! It seems as though the editors at Car and Driver share your opinion exactly:

"And although the instrument cowl has a fun, retro style to it—think ’80s-vintage LeBarons—the lack of graining on the plastic stands out as much as its cheeky design."

Being familiar with the late '80s LeBarons, I also agree that it looks like the Journey's interior was indeed inspired by that vintage craftsmanship. (which is not a good thing, in my opinion)
