I doubt it's looks safe.

I wouldn't buy a vehicle with it.

Boy, I bet the front door speakers would have to be pretty thin.

I wouldn't want to be in a side impact - especially when the only benefit is the elimination of door dings to the person parked next to you. Might as well go with gull wing doors.

It's kind of funny that everyone in the demo video could probably afford to use valet or get a driver to open the door for them.

Did anyone notice how the seatbelts were "relocated" to the seats? It didn't look very secure to me... I agree -- I would not want to ride in one of those things!

If they did a convertible with those drop doors, colorider might be able to give up riding motorcycles.

Seat belts attached to seats not pillars are more common than you think. Range Rover to Chevrolet.

Bet the windows can never be opened.....

I agree, seatbelts are commonly attached to the seats themselves. In fact, it is arguable that they are safer when built into the seat, because the seatbelt will remain in the proper position regardless of how the seat is positioned. However, those seatbelts are all *engineered* to be built into the seat. The seatbelts on this car look like they were merely attached as an afterthought once they removed the B-pillar.

Nice idea, but I bet it's a pain in heavy rain or snow.

I remember that! I thought the Z1s were so cool when they were new. The doors actually slid straight down into the body...
