colorider's signature line has changed again, with no mention of the BMW, and his avatar has changed (see below).

When do we get the rest of the story?

But the new DI all-aluminum larger rotary won't be out for a year or two probably.

I noticed that too!

BTW....'08 models are out now, Jay. What are you doing still holding onto an '07? That Camry must look like a dinosaur now, huh?

Isn't it time, or do we have to actually be in the '08 calendar year before you get the "itch"

jay - you are GOOD!!!

robrecht, the problem with the RX-8 (and I do LIKE the looks of them) is that it does not come in a convertible.

We just decided that we had too much $$$ sitting in the garage and not being driven. The BMW is a VERY nice vehicle - the nicest I have ever owned (and probably ever will own).

Thought about another S2K as they are great vehicles. Strong rumors that the '08 will be the last year and it would have been nice to own one for that reason alone.

Since we wanted another roadster, it really only left one other choice that I would even consider: The Miata. About $5K less money and a LOT of bang for the buck, IMHO.

Went for the Grand Touring model with "PRHT" (Power Retractable Hard Top) in the "Stormy Blue Mica" color (black interior).

I just picked it up last night and will try to get some pictures taken and posted today.

Very nice choice! I first thought Miata, but remembered the S2k, and didn't think a beamer owner owner would be capable of such good judgement.
