As good as the last one was, I hope this one is a better value for the money, not that I could ever afford one. The new Z06 is tough to beat for the money, especially with that Blue Devil or SS version they have coming.

I'm beginning to love the Corvette again as it's gotten a little bit smaller but it still isn't the best handling car out there. Did you see the handling comparison done by MotorTrend? Came in 9th out of 10.

Not the best, but more than I could handle. I read that article, well some of it anyway, as it got VERY technical. From what I remember about the Z06 and some of the various car rag tests is that those who tested the car said it handled well, but they were really sweating it out when testing the handling at its limits.

It also seems to have more problems on rough surfaces, even some tracks. Don't get me wrong, though, I'd love to have one.

It's just a mule, but I actually think it looks rather nice. More importantly, the chassis and power seem very well balanced in the video.

Yes, I believe it is a mule... so they are simply testing the engine. The actual production NSX will probably look nothing like it.

We'll all have to wait at least another two years before we see anything hit showroom floors.

As far as pricing, it will never beat the Corvette.... and Honda will never try to. The Vette has always been one of the best bang-for-your-buck cars... not exactly what Honda wanted for the NSX... that's what the S2000 is for.

I wished they would have gone ahead with the Honda HSC concept they designed a couple of years back...

I don't think they ever intented that concept to be a prototype for the new NSX (Honda said, "the 2003 HSC was only a test concept in the bridge from the existing platform to the next").

Instead, they developed the ASCC, which got lackluster reviews... so they had to go back and make some design changes.

To me, the HSC looked sort of like a Ferrari... at least from the front. Plus, it only had a V6.

if it looked like a ferrari, and drives like a ferrari, I'm not complaining.

a screaming v6 would be fine with me, as long as its power to weight ratio is good (like the porsche gt3). and I'd expect the same superp handling the original nsx had.

Well, the GT3 is not really a great comparison since the car is pretty bare-bones when it comes to amenties, but I know what you're saying.

It sounds like Honda is set on the V10 with SH-AWD, so it would seem that Honda wants the brutal power of a big engine plus the traction/handling from AWD. Of course, the price tag will most likely exceed the previous NSX.

maybe they can make 2 versions of the nsx. one a bare-bones sports car. rwd and weigh as little as possible, made for people who have taken a driving course and know how to take advantage of the car. the other could be with all the luxuries, made for people like kobe bryant's wife, who had a lamborghini custom made with an automatic(!) transmission. v10 does sound better than a 6 though.
