1990 Buick Reatta - Honda Pilot

I am considering buying a 1990 Buick Reatta. Anyone out there have any input? I think it is a pretty cool looking vehicle and I understand that it is relatively reliable. My opinion is that it still looks pretty sharp, even though it is 17 years old...

Don't they have the full electronic dash? If i remember right, i think they might have had electrical issues. Don't take my word for it though.

Yes, I think the electronics would be the critical thing- this and the sister Cadillac model were known to have flacky issues with ther touchscreen interfaces. Mechanically, they're solid, especially the 3.8L V6.

Not my cup of tea (I'll take a BMW 6-series coupe of similar vintage instead for a classic coupe), but whatever floats your boat.

I've heard this car referred to as the Regretta as any one that has ever had one regrets they did.

Yep, I believe all of those statements are correct. The electronics are definitely the greatest cause for concern.

I am hoping that this will be something I can tinker with, but still be reliable enough to drive to work a couple days per week. We shall see. The good news is that the uncle that is selling it to me will be willing to take it back if I decide that it is not my cup o tea. We shall see. Need to unload my Aztek (another regrettable GM product) first.
