I'm going tomorrow to look at an Accord that sounds pretty much exactly what I want. It's a 2003 EX-L Sedan, with a 4 cylinder engine and a manual transmission. The list from their website is below. The price they have listed is $16,199. KBB has the retail listed as $18,010. Trade-in value is $14,225(excellent condition), and$13,385(good condition). Private party is listed as $16,085(excellen), and $15,145(good). What price should I be aiming/hoping for?
EX FWD AM/FM In-dash 6 CD Player, Air Conditioning, Alloy Rims, Anti-theft Alarm System, Cruise Control, Front Side-mounted Airbags, Intermittent Windshield Wipers, Power Door Locks, Power Glass Sunroof, Power Mirrors, Power Windows, Rear Defogger, Remote Trunk Release, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, Tilt And Telescopic Steering Wheel Thanks for your help, ~J |

I haven't seen the carfax yet. Most dealerships that I've been to have already pulled it, and if I doubt them I'll pull it myself after the testdrive.
Also, they had an ad in the paper today for $15,999. |

I am in a similar situation. Wife's 2000 Chevy Malibu with 130K is have lots of problems. Need some better reliability. Looking at either Civic or Accord. When we looked at a Raleigh dealer's Internet listings and at CarMax, it seems that it is not much more to buy a new Accord than to buy a used 05! Am wondering if we could pick up a new 06 cheaper than a used? (Know we won't but the price difference may not be that great.)
Example 05 Accord LX with automatic and 16K miles for $19988. 07 Accord LX with auto is $20,925 for Blue. Green with 19,700 miles is $19,988. 04 Civic LX Galapogos Green Metallic with 18,857 miles for $16,488. Not sure the wife will be happy with Civic. For these prices, might as well try to get a new 06 for a good price. Am I missing something? Comments?
