Default Do you work out?

I came accross this forum and noticed there haven't been any posts! So, any exercise people out there, or is everyone sitting on their butt driving Pilots? If so, what is your age/routine? I have recently discovered I can no longer get away with what I used to without working out. So now I spend 3 nights a week walking 1.1 miles and 2 nights a week riding the bike 3 miles. I just started so I can't really tell if it is making much of a difference but it is better than doing nothing!

well since the birth of my second son, I haven't had much time to get to the gym like I used to. But, I will be getting back soon. I usually play racquetball for about an hour or so, and on the other days I lift and ride the bike. I also, play slow pitch softball (but not much exercise except 12 oz curls after the game).
I golf too when I get a chance which is not often. ( i find that golf takes up too much time now)

26 and fairly active. Play in soccer and softball leagues throughout the year. Mountain bike 1-2 per week (10-15 miles each ride) from April to November. Finally set up the old weight bench at home and lift every other day for 20 minutes.

Trying to compensate for sitting on my ass at work for 8+ hours.

Damn, I need an outdoor job!!

I have just been maintaining the last 7 years, I work out Monday to Friday and take the weekends off, I alternate days between cardio and weights. When I'm not working out I still get a lot of exercise chasing after my two boys ....

Not as much as I used to (sound familiar?)!!! I walk about 1 1/2 miles daily and try to ride my bike a couple times a week. How old? Old enough to know if I don't exercise more, I will turn into a blob before I know it!!! I'm not the oldest one here - but probably in the top 5.

Default WANT TO!

I'm a former cross country runner. I would easily run 13 miles a day. These were highschool days I'm talking about. I wanted so desperately to get UP to 100 pounds. Now I wish I could go back in time and slap myself for wishing weight gain upon myself. 11 years and 40 pounds later, I'm doing nothing and ashamed of myself.
I need to work a regular jogging routine into my day somehow with 3 kids under 7.
Quitting my part-time job was a good start, frees up my evenings. I need to run (or walk) the pregnancy weight gain off of me. It doesn't just fall off like it used to, thats for sure. Hard to get motivated in nasty rainy weather. Swimsuit season is coming though... Better get off my Butt! Treadmill purchase time I'm sure one would fit in my Pilot. No excuses left!

No excuses PilotMom! I just had my second kid last year and this time the weight did not just roll off either. Now the 5 year old rides his bike and I push my daughter around in the stroller. I have made it a habit. Right after dinner we are off to the races!

I go to the gym at lunch four days a week.

After the first child was born, I lost all of the pregnancy weight in 6 weeks. I was thrilled! This time, my baby is 10 months old and I have barely lost any weight. I'm about 40 pounds from my target weight right now. Very depressing...

23, I rock climb. I try to get to the local indoor gym and climb 2 times a week. If I'm lucky I get outside every weekend. Now with the longer days a couple guys and I are going to try to hit up some local outdoor areas after work. I do it more for fun than exercise but it does get you in good shape.

I'm right up there witth ya colorider! I'm 51. Older Than Dirt used to be the oldest - think I was second oldest. But OTD is MIA right now (pleeeze come back) so that MAY make me the oldest - currently. Please - anybody - post here to make my day & let me know you're older than I am. Really just kiddin' - I love this 50 era!
As far as exercise...
Treadmill 30 minutes per day. Walk/run/incline. Then jump in the pool - Do 10 full laps - not racing - just constant swimming at the pace I feel at the time. I walk my 2 pups every other night just around the neighborhood but it's at a good clip - they love it and wanna go-go-go!
I play soccer (or the sport of choice at the time - I stink at all of 'em) on the weekends with 2 of my 3 grandkids (they think I'm 31 ).
That about covers it - lookin' into getting another bike but because I can't go very far right now I'll probably wait.

Bike to work - 10 miles 4-5 times a week, 45 minute spin class 2-3 times a week, weight/fitness training 2-3 times a week. Seven pounds to go to target weight by my 45th birthday. I'm more fit now than ever.
