I have asthma. I have tried pretty much every medication on the market. The medication that has saved my life has been Advair. The best by far for me. A must to have around also is a nebulizer. Saved numerous trips to the ER during attacks. I see a lot of people talking about Singulair but it did nothing for me. Plus I think a study just came out which said it wasn't particularly effective for allergies.

So Pulmicort was affecting my Son's sleep. The doctor put him on the 4mg Singulair. Been a week ...seems to be doing good with it.

Hey, rami, have you found any support groups yet? No asthma yet, but my oldest son (4 in May, do you believe it!) had some fairly severe outdoor allergies last year and we're debating about shots, etc. We're living in the boondocks, out among the farms, where a lot of people grow hay for horses (supposedly New Jersey has more horses than Kentucky) so some kind of hay fever might be the culprit.
