Hi fellow Canucks.
I am at the end of my ropes with Bell Mobility and their implementation of their new computer program to handle customers. It's been three months of wrong bills, late bills and no one to talk to at Customer Service. I called there yesterday to try and sort out my bill and the message said they weren't taking calls at the time because there were too many and to try back mid November they get caught up. The past two times I have waited to talk to them, I've waited over an hour for a CSR. My delema. Fido (a competitor to Bell Mobility) is offering unlimited day or night calls within the GTA for a flat rate of $45 which includes the system access fee. Does anyone have a Fido phone or know what their network is like? I've been a loyal customer to Bell Mobility for over 13 years so I don't have any personal experience with Fido. Can anyone help in the GTA? Thanks, Mark

Hey Mark:
My wife is with Bell Mobility and has experienced the bad and late billing. I am with Telus and have had fairly good luck with them. With the City FIDO plan you have to be careful if you go outside the city zone the billing changes. If you go to cottage country your FIDO will not work. They are the only network that bills by the second. That will save you about 33% on your monthly bill. You also need to watch when your contract expires, there is a fee for early exit with Bell. Try and calling Telus or Rogers and let them know you are thinking of changing providers ask "what are they going to do to win your business" They have an in-house team that specializes in that. The worst part is that, unlike the UK, you can't take your number with you. Cheers Brent |

Hi Mark,
I use Rogers, Rogers and Fido use GSM network, while Bell and Telus use CDMA network. Rogers has wider coverage across the country while Fido has coverage in major cities only. You may want to check this site for further information http://www.arcx.com/sites/ Fred
