Hotmail, The Last Straw! - Honda Pilot

It seems that MS has decided that if you don't buy the $20 a year Hotmail+ service you don't deserve to access it from Outlook.

Well, I guess I may have to FINALLY drop Hotmail after more than 10 years!!

But I thought that the limitation was tied to new subscriptions and existing subscribers would not be impacted by the change (designed to force spammers to buy the $20 account upgrade).

Yeah, I'm fed-up too. I’m planning on switching to Google; 1GB of space for free. I have DSL and with that I get an awesome 25MB of space on hotmail that I frikin pay for. Also, it seems that every other web mail provider has better spam blocking capability. Microsoft has, I would imagine, a bottomless supply of developers – invest some time and effort in improving your products, sheesh.

I'm just going to add a mail subdomain to one of my webhosting accounts.

Does G-Mail have Outlook or POP access?

It doesn't offer access... yet. They mention it in the help, but that very mention seems to be saying that they want to...

But not yet.

I, too, have three invites left -- email me at the Gmail address since my PMs don't work here either.

Thanks for the gmail offers - I already have an account I've been using on a test basis. I'm trying to slowly switch everyone I know over to it.
