Default On search engines

N.B. Mods, did a search for a search engine thread but the search didn't yield any ...if your search produces a relevant, similar search engine thread, then by all means merge ...

The "new" MS search engine was put up for sneak preview:

http://techpreview.search.msn.com/

As an "unbiased" consumer, I put the site through its paces, searching for my name first, and "honda pilot" second (note I used two words instead of appending honda and pilot together as users will probably search that way). Using google.com as a standard "check," I went on and searched in other search engines. Results: hondapilot.org was in two spots of the top five hits with MS Search (Exhibit A), followed by Yahoo (1), Excite (1), Altavista (1), and Dogpile (1). As for google? I stopped looking for any reference to hondapilot.org after the fifth page...

Top 10 possible conlusions:
10. MS engineers can not distinguish between "hondapilot" and "honda pilot"

9. MS search licenses everybody else's search engines except google

8.Half of MS engineers drive a Honda

7.The other half drive an Acura

6. The big three refuses to license CarWin XP ver 0.09

5. CarWin XP works only in Hondas

4. MS search engine engineers actually believed in the Honda e-mail hoax (http://www.f-secure.com/hoaxes/honda.shtml)

3. Bill G. still believes that "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon".

2.Bill B. honestly believes that HONDA means Hell Of a Nice Damn Automobile

1. MS wants to license VTEC from Honda to power the next generation MS Search Engine

Exhibit A: The results from MS search (I added in the ranking for clarity):

Results 1-15 containing "honda pilot" NEXT >>
