Default Need video camera advice.

Well, my wife says that we're robbing ourselves and our son of documented memories and a video camera will clear all of this up. Certainly I could go to epinions and get advice but I'd rather get it from you folks. I don't need a camera with all of the bells and whistles, just a good quality, relatively compact unit that's good for parties, and other events worth documenting. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Have you checked www.cnet.com by any chance? They do good reviews of all that stuff. I usually buy on their recommendations. I have a tiny sony that has everything on it and its too much stuff. Not sure why I ever thought I would use bluetooth on a vidcam. Oh well. I like it aside from that tho. Been looking at this tiny tiny Panasonic I think, about the size of a digicam.
