I can download last night's performances to my iPhone from iTunes. Just busting on you. At least you're ahead of ramirami in the technology department. He doesn't even have full html support natively on his Crackberry!

Time for a new phone, I guess. Trying out an HTC Touch Pro this weekend. Anyone else using this phone?
Stay tuned for review. Specs are quite a bit better than my Sammy i760 but so far I'm afraid it might not measure up to the solid build quality, many buttons, and superior call quality of the Sammy.

- VGA screen is very nice - as is real GPS - the Rev A speed bump is not as noticable with all those pixels to push around - But the battery life is terrible, 'though much better than my iPhone, and I can easily pop in extra batteries as needed In general I'm not happy with the superficial ways Windows Mobile phones have tried to compete with the iPhone. I was very happy with lots of programmable buttons for an easy 1-handed interface and didn't see a real need for yet another fancy screen touching interface. The real deficit vs the iPhone has always been screen size, not just resolution. This will finally soon be addressed by HTC with the 3.6" WVGA Touch Pro2 or the 3.2" WVGA Touch Diamond2, but don't expect either on Verizon for a while. By that time the 3G iPhone update will finally have cut/copy & paste on a legitimate ROM so it will finally be a real contender as well.

I'm going through the Android v Apple decision process. Windows is doa.
Interested in updates from android users especially those with Iphone experience. I'm currently going through "avoid the apple cult" moment. Sadly that reminds me of the Microsoft/IBM big brother era.

I can from my iPhone but around here in MD, the roads are being watched and it would probably be considered the same as "texting"
rather not get pulled over

I used to be a Palm lover and have now switched over to iPhone. I am currently on my 2nd iPhone (3GS to 4) and my wife has a 3GS. I had bought my wife a Android based phone and went through 3 of them before throwing in the towel. Clunky, Slow and buggy! I know there are Android lovers out there and maybe they work fine for you but iPhone cult or not you can't knock the speed and efficiency of a iPhone and there is always an app for whatever your heart desires.

i honestly love the android though i have zero experience with iphone. i have a samsung vibrant, its my 3rd android. look for one with OS 2.2 at the least if you choose android. 2.2 is a nice upgrade from 2.1 and a whole other world from 1.5/1.6(i dont even know if theyre still selling phones with android 1.6). also read forums (XDA Developers is a good one) on how to "root" the android if you so choose. rooting expands your ability to customize even more than an unrooted phone. |

I just joined the iphone cult with a Verizon iphone. I avoided it previously due to ATTs lousy coverage in our area. I own various ipods though, so I already have purchased a lot of music through itunes. In addition to the phone/ipod duties, I also use it as a satellite radio receiver with the Sirius app. It allowed me to retire the satellite receiver in my truck. I also directly download books/podcasts to the phone through Audible with an app. I use to have to download them via computer and transfer to my itouch. I have no complaints so far. It is only 3g but I am usually near a wi-fi source anyway.
The Motorola Atrix looked like an interesting Android phone with 4G, a dual core processor, and a laptop dock. However, only ATT has it right now, so that killed interest. The Motorola Droid Bionic is similar to the Atrix and due out via Verizon later this year. |
