I don't own one but have used the new iMac. Very nice, fast computer. I think I would choose the new 17inch iMac over the eMac -- better technology, and takes up less space.

There are extensive threads comparing the two types. We have both a 15" and a 17" flat panel imac. The 17" is wonderful, both beautiful and highly functional. It is, in fact, so nice looking that I stuck in a wireless card, moved it out of the office and put it in the living room. The swing arm means I can lounge around and still put the monitor right where I need it. The emac is heavy, bulky and isn't easy to move around. My kids couldn't adjust it to the right viewing positions without a tussle.
BTW, OS X is great, a real pleasure to use and beautifully elegant. |
