Default Bye Bye Norton

Hello AVG free.

Seems to use much less of the computer's horse power than Norton.

And less of my wallet as well!

I haven't used Norton AV in years but it's always been an atrocious resource hog. I guess they still haven't learned.

I'v e found it much cheaper and easier to use Verizon's internet security suite that comes with my FIOS subscription.

I've used several paid anti virus products within the last year. I also used to dislike Norton, but now I find that Norton 2009 would be my choice because it is the least intrusive. It accomplishes all downloads and scans in background idle time. The version of McAfee I have wants to dominate the PC's other processes.

I'm currently running Norton Internet Security 2009 and it is definitely leaps and bounds better than any previous versions of this software.

A great lightweight alternative is EST NOD32. Great real time protection.
