Why not go all the way and get the SB-800?

With all that's been in the news lately, I can't believe there's a thread about hp.org members spending $50 to go all the way with a flasher.

i think the sb600 will be more than sufficient for my needs .... $190 compared to $320 ... then less the 50 bucks (and free shipping/not tax of course) .

plus i am thinking d300 for Xmas

Hmmm, with the D300, you will WANT the SB-800!!! That's what's on my list anyway. My brother-in-law recently picked up a SB-800 for his D300 and loves it, so I figure I'll go the same way (when I can afford it).

What kind of camera body do you have now?

Hmmm ... I have to rethink this now ... you have a good point. I have to do a little research.

Right now I am shooting with a D50 ... 50 and 85mm 1.8's, 18-70, and a tamron 28-200 zoom
