Default Color Laser Printer Recommendation

I just moved into a new office. We are in need of a color laser printer that is networked and has a tray for both 8.5x11 and 11x17 size paper. There will only be three folks printing to this from time to time. It would not be the primary output device. I have had the color HP's but what about the others like XEROX? Any recommendations? Thanks.

I have a HP laserject 2605dn and it has been great.

It's networked and works great.

IMO, HP is best for laser printers.

Thank you for the input. What makes HP the best? Do you work for them Very reasonable price for sure. Duane

I referring to their laser printers only. I like the reliably (problem free experience that I have with them), lower cost for toners.

For example, my old HP laserjet 5p still works fine like new. I had it since '87 and I print almost everyday.

HP generic toners are cheaper and if you buy original HP toners, you can resell the empty toners when used up.

I also have a Brother multi-function printer but it flaked on me one time but it's was acceptable but it did cost lots of $$$ and toner are really expensive.

For inkjet printers, I recommend Canon one. I have a i950 for photos and it has separate colors cartridges.

I don't recommend HP printers for inkjet. I had one that died within 1 year. The printheads for the HPs are expensive.

Thanks Netman, I will have our IT staff order the HP color laserjet you recommend. Appreciate the input on ink jet technology too. Make it a Good Week.

We're exclusively HP for both mono and color printers. The color model is no longer made but keeps going and going without complaint until it needs more cartridges or whatever they put in them.

Don't order so quickly, The 2605 does not print on 11x17. I would definitely buy HP but if you need to print on 11x17 paper that particular model does not do it.

Mike, EXCELLENT point! My screw up, I meant to write Legal (8.5 in x 14 in) not, 11x17. Thanks.
