My favorite watch auto sets DST. (not radio "atomic" set), and I have been pissed about this since it was announced!

But it's my favorite, and I just had it restored too!

Now there's a good reason to lose your temper. I guess setting your watch forward an hour must be a real challenge.

But then I have to set it back a few weeks later.

More pissed at the stupidity of those who make decisions like changing DST than the watch itself.

P.S. I did not say anything about "losing my temper"

I'm in favor of leaving it on dst all year. I like the extra little sunlight when I get off work in the winter months.

..............Agree! It sucks when it's dark when you leave for work and it's dark when you come home.

When you say "reset" is it more than turning the phone off and back on?

haven't bothered to look at the web site to figure it out yet.

If you're thinking the phone takes its time from the system, I'm with you.

Ok so I look at Cingular's site and see this

SUBJECT:
Daylight Saving Time (DST) Changes in 2007 Overview
What do I need to do so my phone updates the date and time correctly for March 11 2007?

SYMPTOM:
03/11/2007

CAUSE:
Energy Preservation Act of 2005

FIX:
Introduction

In August of 2005, the United States Congress passed the Energy Preservation Act of 2005 which extends Daylight Saving Time (DST) by 4 weeks in the U.S. time zones that recognize DST. Starting in 2007, Daylight Saving Time will begin the second Sunday in March (3 weeks earlier) and will end the first Sunday in November (1 week later).

New START Date: 2 AM on March 11th, 2007
New END Date: 2 AM on November 4th, 2007
Many people have become accustomed to their wireless devices automatically adjusting for Daylight Saving Time. For the vast majority of AT&T customers, this transition should be seamless, and their devices will automatically reflect the new time after Daylight Saving Time goes into effect. However, many data devices do not rely on network time and are preprogrammed with the old Daylight Saving Time change. To operate correctly in 2007, customers with these devices may be required to download a software update from the manufacturer’s Web site. To find out which products will require these new transition rules, please see the tables below for details on specific resolutions.

Devices

Device Resolution Steps
Motorola MPX200, MPX220 Device Software Update Required
Nokia E62 Unaffected, No action required
Nokia 9300 Device Software Update Required

Samsung BlackJack Unaffected, No action required
Cingular 2125, 3125, 8125, and 8525 Device Software Update Required

HP 6510, 6515, 6920, and 6925 Device Software Update Required

Palm Treo 600, 650, 680, 750, and Tungsten W Device Software Update Required

RIM BlackBerry Handhelds Device Software Update Required

Wireless E-mail Solutions

Messaging Solution Resolution Steps

Good Mobile Messaging Desktop and/or Server Operating System Update Required
Microsoft Direct Push Desktop and/or Server Operating System Update Required

RIM BlackBerry Desktop and/or Server Operating System Update Required

Xpress Mail Desktop and/or Server Operating System Update Required

Wireless Network

AT&T is working with 40 network equipment vendors to prepare all of its network elements for this change. Software upgrades and procedures are being implemented throughout the network to ensure the change in DST has no impact on AT&T's customers. For more information on Daylight Saving Time, please visit http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/index.html.

If you are viewing information on devices or services, please note: content reflects instructions for devices and services purchased from Cingular.
Some differences may exist for devices not purchased from Cingular.
