Default Online GPS Purchase Feedback

I'm in the market for an aftermarket gps, preferrably a Garmin or a Magellan. In doing a comparative price search online I noticed some online sites with real competitive pricing. However, I just don't know whether these stores will provide me with a hassle-free transaction or not. Since I don't do much online shopping, I just want to get some feedback from fellow members who are avid electronic /computer gadget shoppers as to what online stores are recommendable and what stores to avoid.
Thanks for any feedback.

Be very careful that whomever you purchase from is authorized by Garmin or Magellen. I have a 2 Garmins and live them and in the process of buying another.

I have bought a couple from : http://www.bestpricegps.com

just make sure where ever you buy from that you use a credit card. That way if there is a problem you can dispute the charges and not be held liable for them

REI.com is one that comes to mind, they just had a 20% coupon that might still be floating around. CostCo.com is another. There are some great outdoor sites but they tend to be more expensive.

I would also check out newegg.com

I can recommend http://www.gpsnow.com

or

http://www.tvnav.com

You may find slightly cheaper prices elsewhere, but these sites are very competitive, and have been around for some time.

I purchased a Garmin c340 from gpsnow.com about a month ago. It was shipped the same day I ordered, and they only charged $7.26 for 2-day UPS. Their price was very competitive, but not the absolute lowest -- I went with them because of their high seller rating. Very satisfied.

I bought a Garmin nuvi 350 at Best Buy, and a few days later saw the Costco offer of a $150 Costco Cash Card bundled with the nuvi 350. I talked Best Buy into refunding me $150 in a competitive price match.

My Garmin 2610 came from www.gpsdiscount.com.

I bought a factory refurbished one. The first unit I received had a problem and they swapped it out.

I checked www.pricegrabber.com for the lowest price on my Garmin Street Pilot c320, and found that www.buydig.com had the best price and decent reviews (4.5 out of 5 stars). I was happy with my buying experience from BuyDig. A co-worker really liked my c320 and she bought one too, also from BuyDig.

Good luck with your GPS purchase! Are you checking out www.gpsinformation.net?

I bought my Nuvi 360 from www.buy.com. Great pricing at $620 and $5 UPS Ground shipping. Ordered one Friday evening, it was delivered next Friday. I'm quite happy with them.

I've bought stuff from BuyDig and GPSCity too, I'll order from them in future when the need arises.
