I ordered 2 black razr phones. Got them right away, and ported my new phone numbers right away. I later found out through searches on them they had tons of cutstomer complaints regarding their rebates.
One of the rebate rules is that they want a cell bill from 180 - 210 days in. So they almost want you to forget. Anyway, I have to wait to send in the rebates. And if I do everything correct they say they would pay me back for the phone, so it would be free. Anyone else? |

They were more knowledgeable and could do what I needed without lying to me. I wanted 3 phones and Wirefly set up the third phone on a second account (That would have cost me an extra $80 a month!!!!). They said it was no problem to have the carrier switch it to the same account. Well a call to the carrier told me I would have to wait 6 months and pay the extra. Lets talk was able to do the three lines, they have a live person you can talk to before the sale (Wirefly seems to only let you talk after you order). As for the rebate, it is not so you forget, it is so they can be sure you have not cancelled the service. All cellular (or most) work this way. As for the bad reports, I think it is the whole industry. Both companies have a lot of bad reports, but I have found lots of people who are happy also.

We paid an $18 contract extension processing fee per phone and $10 shipping for the second phone. $46 total for two phones that arrived at our door within 3 business days. The comparable pricing at Cingular was $99 per phone. I was out of contract with Cingular and with the purchase of the phones, agreed to a 2 year contract extension with Cingular. We're pleased with Wirefly so far and with Cingular overall.

I got 2 free Razrs free directly from cingular. When I called to inquire how much time is left on my contract because I am planning to get a new phone, they offered the razrs for $50 each (pay $100, then $50 credited to your account). And upgrade fee of $18 each. I said I'll think about it.
They then offered me the phones (it's a family plan) for free and they waived the $18 upgrade fee per phone. But I have to pay upfront, since according to her its a different department or something. So I paid about $120+, I think the 20+ is for shipping and tax, then they gave me $100 credit on my account. My contract has been extended another 2 years from that day I called, not when my original contract ends. Just want to share it to those who are planning to extend their account with cingular.
