laptop - Honda Pilot

hey guys, i have a toshiba qosmio laptop, i wanted to know if u guys know how to hook it up to your tv , so in other words, use your home tv as a monitor.

I think it depends on what kind of video output you have on your laptop and if the output is the same resolution as the TV/monitor. Just my 2 cents not based on any educated background.

Does your laptop have S-video out? The newer ones do. If so that can output to your TV.

it has s video out put, however i do not have the wire for that. where can i find that.

Your local Best Buy, Radio Shack, Circuit City, etc. should all carry them.

5 pins or 7 pins s Video out put?

Some laptop uses 7 pins s-video. 5 pins will work on 7 pins but not the other way around.

Also, some laptop can just use a simple Fn (function key) to switch between LCD and TV out, some needs to get into the property of video card and switch the video from there.
