PC Gaming Questions
Oh how I hate gaming, BUT!!!
Anyone here an expert on versions of DirectX? Seems my son's 466 Celeron, Intel 810 based computer has DirectX8.1, and this game needs 8.1b or newer? The latests is 9.0C, I installed it. The install said successfull, I check of the video proerties still shows 8.1? The game still does not run. Did I mention that I hate Gaming?

To check the DirectX version & if it's working properly, just go to start>run>type Dxdiag and click ok.

Another problem maybe the video card. Some video card does not support DirectX 9.0 and above. Try updating the driver of the video card.
