Default Various and Sundry

  • I s'pose I could've posted this on the funny videos thread, but it really belongs here. http://funnyfox.org/ These videos are sweeping the web.
  • There has been a lot of FUD lately about how Firefox and Mozilla have security issues, therefore, they are no better than IE. Brian Livingston has a FUDbuster article. Even if FF and IE were equals from a security standpoint, Firefox's features, functionality, and usability are better in every way than IE. That's why IE7 is going to have to copy those features. I mean, every other browser in the world, that HAS been updated in the past 4 years, has them.
  • How's 'bout we NOT start a new thread every time something new happens with Firefox, whether it's a software update or a security warning. One thread on Firefox is enough.

Thats not a good sign!

IBM has not had exactly the best history on picking winners in teh PC sofware world.

Lets see,

OS2
DB2
Wordperfect
etc.

Seems to me, having IBM dismiss you is a better endorcement.

I don't think so, but last time I was asked that question in a product planning meeting I said, "just go with Microsoft and save the resources it takes to develop something else."

That went over like a lead balloon!

Why wouldn't you just develop your web-based apps IAW W3C standards? There aren't any additional resources to devote. Even after almost 4 years, IE6 still handles them well enough.
