Default New releases of Firefox, Thunderbird, Mozilla

Mozilla.org has released new versions of Firefox (1.0.2), Thunderbird (1.0.2) and Mozilla (1.7.6) that fix some security issues. If you are using any of these products on your computer, you might want to consider upgrading.

Thanks from me also. I have found that Firefox eliminates most spyware problems. I might mention that there is a new beta version , 2.0, of Open Office available here.
This is free office functionality, and the new beta version appears more comprehensive and has more features.

How can you fix problems that don't exist.

Don't they have an automatic updater? How 1990's!

(Sorry, just had to )

You think that's bad? I just had to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird to get the update. At least Firefox pops up a little window bellowing for an update.

Just upgraded from 1.01 to 1.02. Took about 1 minute and it didn't require me to uninstall the old version first.

Thanks for the heads up!

The automatic update in both programs needs work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Either it says there are no updates (when I know there are), or it just sits there for several minutes ostensibly downloading/installing but really doing nothing. I usually have to download the binary.

Last I read, they were still working on the update stuff and the infrastructure to support it. So it's probably a little of both that's causing issues with it.

Default Hmm ...

It seems Thunderbird jumped from 1.0 to 1.0.2 (with no 1.0.1). Must be they want to keep the two apps synced to the same rev level.
