Not really, I'm pretty sure the classical 110 channel had commercials too!

XM claims that XM 110 is 100% commercial free.

I forget to which satelite provider Howard Stern is goiing, but I just read where they are planning on selling plenty of commercials on his future programs.

Remember, in the beginning cable TV was going to be commercial free, too.

Commercial free -> Mostly

The music stations are 100% commercial free. They only advertising is about other xm channels, or what is happening on the channel you are listening to.

There are commercials on the talk/news stations, since they goto commercial break (dead air) anyway (Ex. Cnn, Fox...Etc)

There are MUCH fewer commercials than old FM or AM. It all depends on you definition of a Commercial. If you mean song after song, non-stop songs only.....does not exist on satellite radio, XM or Sirrus.

I am VERY happy with XM. I never listen to old time radio any more. It has something to offer everyone!

Yep, Sirius only has no commercials on the music stations, all they do is plug other music channels. I haven't listened to regular radio since November, when I got Sirius. If I am in my Pilot and don't have my Orbiter, then I don't even turn the radio on. Gotta love satellite radio...

I don't think Howard is going to be on XM. I like listening to him at times.
