Default Track someones exact location with their IP address

I know that there are a lot of programs out there that will tell you a lot of about a particular IP address like samspade and dnsstuff. I subscribe to winxpnews.com and I just read an article that will actually give you someones physical location. I use many tool to track people down at work, but this is probably the best one yet for real time tracking. Check it out for yourself.

Track that IP!

Like anything else, this can be abused, so please don't. Some might ask, "Well, why are you posting it?". I guess the answer to that is just like anything else, the hacker already knows this stuff, so now it's time for the good guys to use it. Have fun!

BTW, they also have many other free programs/tools that are free. Just Click Here.

Cool, thanks FLPilot. I'll check it out. I use NeoTrace and it's a nifty little program, but sometimes it just doesn't the do job.

It appears to me that it can only track it to the city of origin not a street address. I can see how that would be helpful for marketing advertising people but it doesn't seem to put me in danger for burglars who read a post on here that I'm going on vacation for two weeks etc.

In my case - it is not even my city - but one that is about 20 miles away.

Not to worry buddy - I'm sending the burglars over in about an hour.

I heard on the radio today that the feds tracked down a serial killer by extracting information about his computer from a DVD he sent to them. I think it's great that law enforcement can do that kind of stuf but if they can then perhaps the bad guys can to.

Well the scary part is that at the very bottom that map pin points you right in my direction. Not sure if that is just a coincidence or what. Of course the roads are not named, but I know which roads are which on that map just by looking at the water marks.

In my case it looks like the dot is where city hall is. Is the dot on your map where your city hall is?

Hard to say since City Hall is about a mile away. That would make more sense I guess. It would be nice to be able to zoom in and then I would be able to say for sure.

Hasn't been accurate yet. Tried four different addresses, one of which it couldn't find, and the other three were several miles off.

All it does it get the registered location if the IP.

Sorry but your sig line doesn't work very well. I guess it's because everybody down south thinks that if you live in Canada you must live in Toronto.
