Default Shaq Attack!

So Shaq is now here in Miami. Apparently it is a very big deal. I feel bad for the guys that were traded for him. They were just starting to get their groove on.

Just hope you don't need him to make free throws down the stretch.

Not that the Lakers are going to better without him but--IMHO, I think the Laker's let him leave because of his lack of dedication. Yes, he's talented but he feels that enough. No need to stay in shape or work on free throws. Guess between Kobe and Shaq they figured to only keep one primadonna. Kobe should still be playing great at the end of this new contract. Shaq has maybe 5 yrs left if he doesn't gain anymore weight.

It would have been real fun to watch the fans scramble if Kobe had signed with the Clippers.

You can have him. Now we can finally have some peace here. Hopefully the Lakers will be in the cellar for a long time so we don't have to see all of those Lakers flags flying from everybodys cars. I don't know what's more boring, the NBA or watching paint dry.

My better half agree with you 100% about keeping Shaq. She and her sister decided not to renew their season ticket in protest. She is not a happy camper right now.

I'm looking forward to seeing more fastbreak offense in Los Angeles rather than the half court triangle that we've watched the past 5 yrs.

Still, having Vlade as our new center is a HUGE downgrade. Oh well. At least w/o Shaq's $30 million/yr contract, in a couple of years, we may have enough cap space to pursue free agents such as Yao Ming or Amare Stoudemire.
