Without a doubt, camping is the most anticipated summer event in the borg household. We're all chomping at the bit to head out into the great outdoors. Campsites began taking reservations at the beginning of March & we promptly booked sites to ensure our place under the sun.
From July 10-17 we wil be staying @ Cabana Beach in Osoyoos B.C., it will be a first for us but we've heard a lot of good things form other campers so we decided to give it a try. On the way back from B.C., we will stop @ Sundance Lodges in Kanaskis, instead of tenting it we decided to book a tipi for a week. The boys are so excited about sleeping in a tipi........I'm more excited about the fact that I would'nt have to set up camp again so soon after Osoyoos. So, what is everyone else's plans for the 04 camping season? colorider, if you're in the Osoyoos area during your trip in July between 10-17, stop by the campsite.......maybe sample some Canadian brew.

We will be driving our Starlight Silver Pilot EX from here (Chicago area) to Yellowstone in late July, and meeting my sister and her family there, with their Starlight Silver Pilot EX-L! They are coming the other direction, from San Diego.
We'll all be camping at the Canyon Campground in the park for a few days, then moving on to a lodge in Grant Village (also in the park). We're looking forward to lots of fun family miles in our twin Pilots!

I just picked up another gadget that's going to help ease loading & unloading camping gear from my Thule roof carrier.
The POWERBUILT truck step:

I thought I would give this thread a bump.
We are going to be staying in Hickory Run, PA for Memorial Day weekend. We have not booked any other camping trips yet, but we should get out a least a couple of weekends this year. Our other trip that is not booked but we are definitely going to do is a weekend taking the boat to an access on the Delaware River and then driving the boat down the river, through the Delaware-Chesapeake Canal and into the Chesapeake to Hart-Miller Island . We are looking forward to this season of camping (and boating) also, it has been a miserable spring.

The Siesta Motor Inn, just up the road from you. Osoyoos is very nice. I go there once every 2 years. The lake is warm and it crosses into the U.S. Hopefully the wild fires wont be as bad this year.

No big trips this summer we went to Italy this spring so that was our big trip this year. This year we have about 5 trips planned for extended weekends at Minnesota state parks. Next year we are in the preplanning stage for a 2 week Mount St Helens/Seattle trip. Matt

Just got back from another great camping trip. Osoyoos lake was a lot of fun, the kids were in the water right after breakfast until around supper time. We would bring a picnic lunch & stay at the beach for the whole day. The one thing I didnt like was that the campsites were too small (20ft x 30ft) & every bit of that campground was occupied. We were packed in their like sardines, not the kind of campground accomodations I'm used too but we managed. If we ever do the Okanagan/Osoyoos trip again we would'nt be tenting it, we'd be staying at a place like the one XPhile mentioned.
Some pics taken during the trip. The Pilot is loaded to the roof as usual, even with all the load it still handeled remarkably well on mountainous roadways with some twisties thrown in.

We broke up the long trip & spent one night in Kamloops before heading out for Osoyoos. This is the campsite, the pictures were taken before other campers arrived so it looks like there more space.

Pics inside the tent with the 2 air beds & the battery powered light & tent fan. We have two of these tent fans to circulate the air, it really came in handy since average daytime temps were in the hi 90's to 100.
