feel the pain of us Bears fans.....Mr. Wanstedt (may he NOT RIP) ....took a perinnial playoff team from Ditka and make it underachieve each year....same thing he is doing in Miami...

Personally, I have no problems with Mr. Wannstedt. I really enjoyed the 31-7 game this past Sunday.

Thanks....like it hasn't been rubbed in me enough this week. Hey credit is given where credit is due, and it definately wasn't for any of our players.

Norv Turner called one of his best games last night. Too bad the defense decided to stay home and rest. Ugh, the disgust. Must be December.

Dave is one of many rumored to be "in the hunt" for the best football job in the country (if you want to work for an egomanic Athletic Director in a state that cares about nothing except Husker football - 'the fishbowl').

Any NFL coach out of a job or on the brink, or any coach that has had an association with the Husker AD (Steve Pederson), is named a candidate for the job. Wannstedt and Pederson apparently have some connection, I forget what it is, so he that's how he shows up in the picture. Lord help us if that's true. Never mind, we already tried (Jamaal) Lord, and lost 10 games in 2 years. There are so many rumors going around and people claiming to have the inside scoop in that football crazy state it isn't even funny. Plus half the people soak up every rumor and pass them along as gospel. I'm basing this on what I've been reading on internet boards and talking to family, but I'll see it for myself in 3 days.

Anyway, I don't think Wannstedt will be in Lincoln next fall. My guess is it will be Pelini (current defensive coordinator) but every day that goes by would seem to make that less likely. They're either stuck in contract negotations, or the AD is working on someone else and is stuck or has to wait until that person is free to go.

Dave did such a good job of not making the playoffs, he gets a 2 year extension. I wish I got rewarded for not doing my job...

I dislike Wanne....as the next guy...but in his defence he does have a average of 10 wins a year....
