Wink Mike L-O-W-E-L-L!!!!

Hmmm, all is quiet on the Cubs front this great day. I wonder why?
Perhaps because I am the only fan of the winning team at this site.

What a great game! For ML to come to his first at bat and park one out? Fabulous! And Pudge, what a player.

Read em' and weep:

This remarkable game established LCS records for extra-base hits (17), triples (four) and home runs (seven). The Marlins also set an NLCS record with three home runs in a five-run third inning, which erased a 4-0 deficit. In addition, the Fish also tied an NLCS record, becoming the third team to overcome a four-run deficit. The last to do it was St. Louis on Oct. 9, 1987, beating the Giants 6-5. On Oct. 11, 1986, the Mets came back from four down to edge the Astros, 6-5.

Looking forward to Game 2. Go Marlins!

The Cubs fans are still here!!!! Great game last night, but it would have never gotten to extra innings if it had not been for the 2 great defensive plays by the Marlins Alex Gonzales. He was the real star of the game for them IMHO. Should be another great one tonight. I still stick with my Cubs in 6 prediction.

GO CUBS!!!!!

Hi Alexandra:
Enjoy it while you can. In no way will this be a cakewalk for the Cubbies, as everyone thinks.
The Marlins have a very good team but cannot match up to the Cub's pitching.
Cubs in 6

Well lets see Ram... If we are throwing out numbers, his W/L record is 14/6 this year w/ an ERA of 3.30. Mr. Wood is at 14/11 this year w/ an ERA of 3.2 Prior is at 18/6 w/ a 2.43 ERA.

Batting average is .279 where Mr. Wood is at a .175 and Mr. Prior is at .270.

He doesn't suck that bad....

HD-got tickets for the Friday game. This is very exciting for South Florida. I remember standing in line to buy the World Series tickets in 1997. I sat outside for 3 hours 5 months pregnant to buy tickets for myself and a bunch of guys at the firm I was working at. Everyone wanted tickets to Game 1 only. I got tickets to Game 2 and Game 7, figuring it would be the best ticket to have if they made it that far. They did and I went! It was the best.

Too bad you can't make it down here! It is a fun city to be in.

Hey, Cub fans are still here, but you're going to be tough to find if you start a new thread after every win...or maybe not!

Agree with Ram...Dontrelle had an amazing start but has been pretty average since...Wood only came on strong late in the season but is dominating right now. We'll see how it plays out. I'm impressed by the Marlins speed and defense, they are a fun team to watch.
