Default How Many Are Still Able To Play Golf At This Time Of They Year?

You lucky buzzards! I only go to about a half a dozen courses in and around the city and the last of them have closed up for the season now. My body's already itching and aching. I'll have to find a way to survive another winter without golf again. I'll get to visit my parents during the X-Mas holidays in L.A., so I'll get a couple of rounds in, but still, not enough for this cursed soul.

How many of you guys are able to play golf all year round? Any nice courses you played on which I may have heard of? About the only half decent courses I played on are right around the Rockies. Banff Springs Course, Jasper Park Course, the Kananaskis courses and a few courses in and around the Canadian Rocky Moutains.

I've been golfing in 20 degree weather before. It was pretty interesting. We were so bundled up that we could barely swing and hitting the ball felt like swinging your club into the side of a building. We weren't so enthusiastic the next week and decided to just go for breakfast instead.

Default I DO!!!

I still get to play. We live off of a Golf Course here in Tage Cay, SC. There is only so much watching of other people playing before you get the "fever" to get out yourself.

Check out www.tegacaygolfclub.com. Our house is off of the green of Hole 5 of the Grande View course. This shows the hole from the tee: http://www.tegacaygolfclub.com/gvtour50/hole5a.htm. Our house would be right in the middle of the picture, if it had been built at the time. We are behind the pond you see in this picture: http://www.tegacaygolfclub.com/gvtour50/hole5b.htm. That picture was taken from behind one of the lots next to ours.

If you look at this thread (http://www.honda-pilot.org/forums/sh...5&pagenumber=3) about half way down the page, you will see a shot of the green from our driveway. This is a very nice course for anybody in the area or passing through. Just about 3-4 miles from I-77 after you cross into SC coming from NC.

Default Sunny California

Luckily golf is pretty much in season all year round here in Southern California. Just played this past weekend at a local course. Don't even ask my score.

Played recently in Vegas at a nice course called Silverstone . Also played a nice course about an 1.5 hours away called Sierra Lakes.

It's still in the 70s here during the day, but the nights are getting a bit colder (although for some of you, 50s at night is not THAT cold).

Default Year round golf here

We don't have quite the weather that LA does but we can play pretty muach every weekend that it is not raining. That eqate to 45+ Sundays of Play. Just played yesterday and shot horribly. And that's all I am saying about that.

Well, much like Sunny California ... it is pretty sunny here in Hawaii as well.

I guess we'd fall into that year round golfing category ... FORE !

Golfing is year-round here in sunny Florida. Unfortunately the price goes up n the winter because all the snowbirds are coming down to play.

Similar here but that high rate is year round ... Locals get the Kama'aina Rate ... or the local rate ... while tourists get the big steel shaft ... So if you're ever in Hawaii go get a local ID or just lie and get the local rate.

Default IN Northern Illinois

Last year here, we could have played until Thanksgiving comfortably. This year is another story. We went from highs of 85, to 45-50. We are averaging 15 degrees below average for the last 30 days. I washed and waxed the Pilot the last weekend before the temps crashed....good thing

I was on my way to work this morning (Nov. 21) when I spotted my neighbor, a retiree, with his clubs. Its in the 40s and cloudy today. I guess the die hards play around here until they lose their balls in the snow.
