Default Recent Visit to Dealer

I stopped in my dealer today, Appletree Honda, to check on a few things.
Parts
1. Asked how much the triailer hitch wiring for my '04 was. $105 +tax and not in stock.
2. The parts dept had a display showing Castrol Synhtetic Blend which they use all cars, trucks and vans.

Service
1. Asked about transmission recall and yes mine was on the list but would not schedule an apoinment because of "dealer allotmnet" they would not do anything till I had the letter. I told them I had 20k on my '04 and that they could pay the extra when it quits on me on my vacatio.
2. Explained the danger in Honda's de-aceleration/grade sensing device which caused me to loose control this winter. Going down a hill at 50-55 MPH ,it was a little slippery, lightly touched the brakes, the transmission shifts down 2 gears, I lost traction and went sailing into field after scrubbing most of my speed of on the wide shouder of the road. No damage to me or the Pilot. Not only does the trans. shift down it won't shift back up most of the time.
The service guy said: "I've never heard of that happening."
It was another wonderful visit to my selling dealer.

I was born and spent 40 years in NH so I know what it takes to drive in less than perfect weather.

I kinda like that deceleration device. It keeps me from barreling down the hills in my neighborhood, thus saving me money on traffic citations. I see your point about living in a place with foul weather conditions. Glad you didn't sustain any damage to yourself or the Pilot.
