Angry Dealer color blind?

Help!

I just received my VIN for my new Pilot. Slated for delivery around 2-16-04. I was on the Honda Owner Link website, and typed in my VIN...and lo and behold...it showed up. Cool.

BUT...

It is the WRONG color. I asked for a WHITE EX-L Navi, but this one shows up on the website as BLACK color (both the picture and the text indicate)

Is the Honda Owner Link database to be trusted, or is the dealer expecting me to settle for the wrong color. (I will not).

I was VERY specific as to color, and even have a buyers agreement signed stating the color.

Has anyone used Honda Owner Link and had mis-matched color indicated?

It is too late in the evening to call my dealer. I will let you know what they say tomorrow when I call, but if anyone can add some useful information, I am all ears.

Thanks.

When I first registered with Owner Link eons ago, same problem. Owner Link is a waste of time.

The VIN doesn't contain the color code, as shown here, as originally posted by robrecht.

Their database has had errors in the past.
Call the dealer to double chack, then relax!

Thanks for that! I am back to breathing normal again.

I will call tomorrow just to double-check though.

Update:

Well, well, well. Honda Owner Link is CORRECT. They matched me up with the wrong car. GREAT. Now they tell me it will not get here for 10 more days.

10 more days isn't the end of the world. It just seems that way!

Ask for something FREE in exchange for the inconvenience (which, btw, you'll soon forget after getting behind the wheel).

Thanks for your help here so far, now that I am about to be an owner, hopefully I can return the favor.

PS, upgrading from a White 91 Honda CRX...what an upgrade, eh?
