We've just bought a 2011 Honda Pilot Touring from Ourisman Honda in Bethesda, MD. Any comments on their service and followup? Any favorite Honda dealer in the DC Metro area?

The Pilot we bought used was originally purchased at Ourisman. Cannot comment on them however they were willing to send me all of their service records on the Pilot even though I did not purchase from them.
Norris Honda in Baltimore is a great Honda dealership. Great service and staff. |

Aackk--I was hoping for something closer than Baltimore for a good Honda dealer!
Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with Criswell, Herson, Landmark, or Sport Honda dealers in the greater DC area? |

I purchased our 09' from Criswell back in the summer of 2008. It was serviced at Criswell twice. Staff is nice and the drop box is handy. They also have shuttle service, wifi, carwash etc. I moved more northwards, so for non-DIY service, I now bring my vehicle to Shockly in Frederick and they have been fair. I had a passenger right front wheel bearing replaced due to my wife driving through a pot hole that annihalated the wheel. After realignment, they stated that the camber was slightly off, but Shockly did not instist in replacing $500 worth of parts to offset a degree in offset. BTW, you get free car washes at Shockly regardless of service once you are in the system.
Almost bought the Pilot at Herson, but received a better deal at Criswell. I've never been to Herson for service. No matter where you go, do your research on diagnosis, etc, make sure you document the service advisor and if you know the issue, insist that only a specific part is replaced.

How about College Park? I know some Piloteers have had bad experiences at the College Park dealer. I purchased there and have serviced my Pilot there and... while there their customer service is good, people are nice and courteous... they are busy though... but I've had bad experiences when it comes to getting my calls returned or them simply calling me back... it seems that they may forget...
![]() The oil change and tire rotation has taken between 45 min to 1 hour. they are open on sundays which is convenient, and e-mail you coupons all the time. the coupons have a greater discount on sundays which is nice. I've also been to the Ourisman dealer in Laurel and their customer service was okay but not overly impressed. the service took about the same time but was surprised because the lobby was not as packed as the college park dealer's lobby is. Hope this helps!
