Default Honda Dealers - Atlanta

Bought used Pilot from Gwinnett Place Honda 2010 - Huge dealer with good well practiced used sales team. First experience in a Used Honda department and generally good though the process took 5 HOURS plus another 2 hour trip to take care of loose ends. They are a Hendrick dealership so lots of talk about how big they are and how they had any car I wanted. The website was misleading though as the car showed "Atlanta Certified" car but was actually in another state. Had to go through 4 people in a run around though to get the paperwork on what mechanical work had been done on the Certified car despite being promised during the negotiation that it would "come with the car."

Bought new Element from Honda Carland in Roswell 2007 and shopped there again in 2010. VERY calm and laid back experience. Sales people were all long time veterans and completely nice. Sales Mgr was also very candid and easy to work with. Also the most expensive dealership on used vehicles with identical miles in 2010. Too many yuppies bidding up the price of depreciated assets that cost less new than used after 3-4 years when considering incentives in 2007/2008... Gimme a break!

Bought new Pilot at Hennessy Honda in Woodstock in 2007 and shopped there again in 2010. Good experience in 2007 with the purchase that was very simple and quick. In 2010, good sales people but the dealership is bigger and seemed like I was waiting more and more for basic help.

Shopped used at Curry Honda in 2010. WORST experience ever at a dealership cause I stopped on a Saturday and it was a zoo during Honda clearance. The dealership sales floor was tiny and crowded literally elbow to elbow. Forget it unless you like buying cars in subway tunnel. 'Nough said.

Bought new Odyssey from Honda of Conyers in 2000. Also shopped there again in 2010. Most calm experience and great deals on trade and experience overall. Also not a huge inventory as they aren't part of a huge chain that I know of so they are working on the "edge" of the metro market. If they have the car you want, this is where to buy as long as you know your math.
