As for the kennel, please, what is the manufacturer so that I can research it... It seems the longest possibility out there, so I would like to measure and look into it more.

Our use is for their comfort and safety too!! We have 3 Shih Tzu's and the kennel works great!
We bought our kennel at Wal-Mart. I forgot to look at the brand this morning when I was taking the measurements. It is made of high-impact plastic and sort of a beige color. It folds flat for storage. Our dogs also sleep in it at night. Works great!!
