Default GB for Roof Rack Pouch

Admin, let me know if this is OK or not...

I am about to buy a Kanga Roof Pouch. Since they are based here in Phoenix, I stopped by and checked them out. Very, very well made and the owner was super nice. Made of the same material they use on dry sacks for river running.

I mentioned the forum here and he said they have sold quite a bit to Ody clubs. Asked if he would be willing to do a group buy and the said yes. If we got 10 people to buy their Storm pouch, they would give 25% off. But I would have to buy all of them and ship them out myself (no problem, I own an embroidery company so we ship a lot and get good discounts).

I make no money on it, just would be helping out fellow forum members. Since this GB is run through me, I don't know if it 'violates' the agreement or not. If it does, no big deal, I completely understand.

I checked the measurements of my Pilot and either the 8CuFt or 11CuFt models will work.

Here is the link to the storm pouch.

They also have the Typhoon pouch on closeout.

Is there enought interest?

Nope. No one (but you) has replied.

So I decided to change and go with the PiggyPack. So far, I am very impressed. Even works well if you DON'T have the cross bars.

Let me know if you would like to know more.

Threadhead,
Thanks for the post reply. I am new to this. I am going to get my pilot this week. It came in Friday, they have to put on my DIO and then my after market Classic Trim leather. Let me know about the piggyback, details like size price etc. , may come in handy later.
thanks,
sandman

Probably the easiest thing is to check out their web site, PiggyPack.com. They have a lot more than just car top carriers.

I bought the Piggy Pack Sport ($79). You could go with the larger classic model, but since I didn't need to haul a lot of luggage, and the flap around a lot less when they are full, I didn't go for the larger one.

Did a lot of checking around on prices, sizes, construction and the Piggy Pack was by far the best deal. The construction is top notch, but my decision was made because the strap go completely across the top of the pack, most others don't. The others use anchor points that are sewn into the top and I can see where they would eventually tear after a couple of years use.

One thing that Piggy Pack doesn't well is a roof protector. I got one at REI and I believe it really helps in keeping the top from getting scratched. Only $12.

Let me know if you would like any more info.

An congratulations on your new Pilot
