Unhappy transmission shift linkage noise

I just recently purchased a 2004 Pilot EX-L, I really love the vehicle BUT something my husband and I noticed has got us slightly worried......the transmission shift linkage P,R,N,D sounds like its too loose or not adjusted just right. From the outside of the vehicle, my husband can hear the transmission shift linkage engage in each gear. The sound is very disturbing....it is a fact that when two metals tap repetitively something eventually is going to give. One week after leaving the dealership, we took the Pilot back in for that problem.....the outcome, as compared to other Pilots, was that the Pilots audible shift linkage was normal.

solution: before shifting, close all door and all windows, and turn up the radio

the sound hasnt bothered me at all, and you cant even hear it unless you're oustide. the way i see it, anything that moves will make a sound of some sort...

We need to get booger to weigh in on this one. He's our resident "Worry about it when that noise stops" guy.
