The Murano and Pilot of 5 years ago are just as different then as they are now. The Murano is a compact and sporty truck. The Pilot is a family hauler that's more finely tuned. I didn't even consider a Murano but to each his own.

Happy to say I'm trading in my Murano today for a Pilot. Murano is sporty but really just felt too small to me from day 1. With the sloped rear end storage behind the 2nd row is minimal and it feels more like a Sedan than an SUV. Looking forward to becoming a Pilot owner.

Sportymonk checking in here. Know its been far too long but Borders Books closed and have been working at QVC in rocky Mount Sun - Wed 10hr /day and JCP thur, Fri and Sat (until recently when everybody got there hours cut back. WIll post in a minute elsewhere for an update) but here is my "annual post here.
I had to go check the Murano webpage and to be honest, it looks nice. Wasn't sure they still made them as I never hear anything about them. I like the redo on the Honda Pilot grill, much better now that it doesn't look like a heating element from I don't know what. Sat in a new Pilot a while back while I was getting an OFL (what lube?). and to be honest I like my old 2005 interior better. I have four upholders in the console by adding another cup holder tray and it seems I have more storage room. Maybe it just me but I lien the layout of the console better. I am still around, just busy as ever. Sportymonk

Just throwing in my 2 cents...
My last vehicle was the 1st gen Murano, though it had LOTS of mechanical problems, I absolutely loved it. Fun to drive, and very stylish. The car did not age well, so I traded it in around 90k miles. Space was also an issue. Even with our one small child, traveling with a car seat and a stroller left little room for groceries. Definitely not an issue in our 2010 Pilot.
